Ford Owners Can Now Access Tesla Superchargers
Doggett Ford is thrilled to share that Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E owners are now leading the charge as the first non-Tesla EV drivers with access to Tesla Superchargers across the United States and Canada.
Recent studies have shown that access to charging stations is a significant concern for potential EV buyers, ranking second only to price. As EV prices become more competitive, ensuring reliable and accessible fast charging infrastructure is crucial to empowering more customers to confidently make the switch to electric.
With over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers now available, Ford is doubling down on its commitment to providing convenient DC fast charging options through the BlueOvalā¢ Charge Network.
To express its gratitude to Ford EV customers, Ford is offering the Fast Charging Adapter at no cost to both new and existing customers enrolled in the BlueOvalā¢ Charge Network until June 30, 2024. This adapter is essential for charging at upgraded Tesla Superchargers and represents an industry-first opportunity for Ford retail EV customers.
Act now, as retail customers who order by June 30, 2024, will receive a complimentary adapter. For those after this date, Ford EV customers can purchase the adapter for $230, inclusive of estimated tax and shipping.
For Doggett Ford commercial customers, Ford Pro will be contacting you this Spring to facilitate the ordering process, ensuring you too can take full advantage of this exciting opportunity that will make EV charging more convenient in Houston and across the United States and Canada.
With the BlueOvalā¢ Charge Network, Ford is simplifying the charging experience by offering a seamless stored payment account accessible through the FordPass App or Charge Assist App (soon to be “Public Charge”) directly from your vehicle’s touchscreen. No more fumbling with credit cardsājust plug in and let the charging begin, all conveniently managed through FordPass.
Looking ahead, Ford is committed to innovation with its electric vehicles. Ford electric vehicles will soon feature the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector built-in, eliminating the need for adapters to access Tesla Superchargers.
