Ford Reveals All-New Transit Trail Adventure Van

Ford is offering adventure seekers a new platform to build their dream vehicle with the introduction of the all-new 2023 Ford Transit Trail. This cargo van has been upgraded with features that those living the “van life” will love, and is set up for upfitters to add exactly what a customer wants, including beds, storage, power, and cooking equipment.

More motorhomes are built using Ford chassis than any other brand, so Ford has used their experience to make the Transit Trail the best in its class. There are three cargo van configurations, including medium and high-roof models, as well as a high-roof extended-length version.

Transit Trail models come standard with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that outputs an impressive 310 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, which is paired with an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Intelligent all-wheel drive also comes standard, which offers adventure seekers five selectable drive modes (Normal, Eco, Mud/Ruts, Tow/Haul, and Slippery).

The ride height has also been increased 3.5-inches, and 30.5-inch Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse all-terrain tires on black 16-inch allow wheels are included. There is also an upgraded grill with integrated marker lamps and HID headlights, a unique skid plate-style front bumper, splash guards, wheel arch cladding, side steps, and more.

A heavy-duty trailer package that is available provides up to 6,500 lbs. of towing capacity, and there is a ton of safety tech built in like Blind Spot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. Also standard is SYNC 4 with a 12-inch touchscreen, along with convenient 110-volt and USB power outlets.
